Here at Starr Mountain Kennels we conduct our training in a way that accelerates the pace at which your dog starts on coons, develops his nose and ability to hunt, trail, strike, run and tree on his own. Your dog will meet his first coon on day one and will get to hunt five nights a week! We train each hound that comes through our facility as if it were our own. We are committed to bringing out your dog’s full potential so that he can “be all he can be.”
We also have many clients who send us their hog and bear dogs in order to start them on coons so that they can develop their noses and learn to run a track.
Our facility is natural raccoon habitat that consists of 70 acres of fenced Tennessee mountain land with hardwood timber, a stream running through it and a lake where we train the hounds to swim.
